Spotlight: Front-runner who won at Kempton (1m, AW) in February and followed up at Pontefract (1m, good); his good form has continued, finishing second at Chester (7.5f, good) most recently; ran well on yielding ground in Ireland; continues to climb the weights but this progressive 5yo is respected.

Spotlight: Ran okay when sixth at Chester (7f, good) last Saturday and he filled the identical position in the same race last year before going on to win this (good to soft); also won this in 2021; has to be high on the list.

Spotlight: Won on reappearance at Doncaster (7f, good) in March and unlucky third at Newmarket (7f, good) next time; bounced back from below-par run with close sixth of 14 at York (1m, good to firm) three weeks ago; could be in the mix.

Spotlight: Won two in a row in the first half of spring (7f, good) and he seems versatile ground-wise; unplaced on his last three starts but shaped at York (1m, good to firm) last time, when a 4l seventh of 14, as though he would benefit from this drop back in distance; not discounted.

Spotlight: Having dropped below his last winning mark he returned to form to win readily at Thirsk (7f, good to firm) three weeks ago; won on soft last year; could take a 4lb rise in his stride now he's back on song, and he finished second in this race in 2023; one to consider.

Spotlight: Won Navan maiden (6f, good to yielding) last October on final 2yo start and kept on for encouraging fourth on stable debut at Lingfield (6f, AW) in February; however, two lesser runs have followed; improvement needed.

Spotlight: 7-21 on AW as opposed to 2-21 on turf; he needs to transfer this year's AW improvement back to grass but he has some good turf form and was runner-up over C&D on heavy ground last September; lots of rain would be a plus.

Spotlight: Beaten on his last 13 starts going back to September 2023 and he's 2lb out of the handicap today; however, he was higher in the weights when making the frame in this in each of the last two seasons, and he went close at Leicester on his reappearance; this four-time course winner could be a player.

Spotlight: Won off this mark in a first-time tongue-tie (retained since) at Kempton (6f, AW) in February and he's also effective at 7f and on turf; however, his form has been mixed on his last three starts; has to raise his game.

Spotlight: Very lightly raced 4yo who went close for Aidan O'Brien in a 7f Group 3 at Leopardstown in April 2024; however, after changing hands for 60,000gns he was well beaten on his stable debut in a Listed race at Kempton (1m, AW) in December, and has something to prove on this first outing since.

Spotlight: 8yo who won at Musselburgh (7f, good to soft) in April but hasn't performed to the same level on his two runs since; needs a bigger effort here.
